Nobel Media has published a press release with some information about the two projects that were successfully carried out with funding from the Swedish Governmental Agency for Innovation Systems, VINNOVA. One of these projects, “Linked Data for Nobel Prize“, was carried out by MetaSolutions.

The Nobel Media press release contains some basic information about the projects and links to their Developer Zone. MetaSolutions has produced a thorough documentation of the Linked Data that is now offered through a D2R instance at data.nobelprize.org. The documentation can be used to understand the Linked Data and to construct SPARQL queries that take advantage of the rich data provided around the Nobel prize, the laureates and surrounding information such as laureate lectures and banquet speeches.

The entry point to start exploring the Nobel Prize Linked Data is data.nobelprize.org.

Update 2013-03-06:

SemanticWeb.com published an article about the project: Forage Through More Than A Century Of Nobel Prize Awards.
